The Caterpillar of this species feeds on various Australian rainforest trees incluing :

  • Blue Quandong ( Elaeocarpus grandis, ELAEOCARPACEAE ),
  • Omega ( Cleistanthus cunninghamii, EUPHORBIACEAE ),
  • Pongam ( Pongamia pinnata, FABACEAE ),
  • Scrub Ironwood ( Backhousia myrtifolia, MYRTACEAE ), and
  • White Tamarind ( Elattostachys xylocarpa, SAPINDACEAE ).

    The adult moth has brown forewings with an unusual bend in the costa. The hindwings are buff coloured. The body is brown. The moths have a wing span of about 3 cms.

    The species is found in the Northern Territory, Queensland, and New South Wales.
