The Caterpillars of this species are brown with a black head, thorax, and tail. They feed on:

The adult moths have brown forewings each with a large dark mark on the costa. The hindwings are orange with a broad dark margin. The moths have a wingspan of about 2 cms.

The species is found in New Guinea and Queensland, Australia.
