This Caterpillar feeds on various ferns from the family SCHIZAEACEAE, including :

  • Climbimg Maidenhair ( Lygodium microphyllum ),
  • Lygodium japonicum, and
  • North American Fern ( Lygodium palmatum ).

    The adult moths have pale wings, with faint brown curved lines across them. The moths have a wingspan of about 1 cm.

    The species is being considered for the control of its foodplant which has become a pest in Florida, USA.
