The adult moth of this species is dark brown with a mauve tinge, and a prominent pale comma mark near the middle of each forewing. There is also a reddish dark patch outlined in white at the apexof each forewing. The forewing tips are curved back to give a slight hooked shape. The wingspan is about 3 cms.

The species has been found in Queensland.
